Catch Up!
Its been awhile since Ive been on here.. Yes - I deleted ALOT, actually almost all content and Ideas I had posted here as I was surprised at the amount of views on my page.. ( most likely due to posting the link to my boarding passes for someone on BDW ) Since nothing was set in stone I decided to take all my ideas off and wait until I got a date confirmation before jinxing myself and getting too far ahead of myself LOL
WELL.. I got my confirmation today! On January 23, 2013 I will Marry My Best Friend At The Majestic Colonial, Punta Cana. Dominican Republic!
Now that I have a secured date and will be bored out of my mind coming up with Ideas to pass the next year im sure I will be posting alot more random blogs and crafty ideas :)
Starting with my FINISHED BOARDING PASS INVITATIONS!!! The last ones I posted a few monthes back were great and I did love them but after a few drafts I decided to change the look and am finally happy with the outcome :) We are just awaiting out travel rates and then the invitations will be in the mail :)

Picking our bridal party
So the next step was to figure out who we would have stand with us. For me it was easy as what girl doesn't sit and plan their wedding day far before there is an engagement LOL
So for me the next step was to try and be crafty... My first idea was done through books. I found and bought " How to be a bridesmaid" books. I figured I would write in the front page of each book and ask my girls to join me that way.
Well I get excited and just onto last minute choices far to fast and this wasnt any different LOL
So I was sitting in my kitchen uploading our engagement pictures to facebook so everyone could see them and I looked at one picture of myself with my best friend right after I got engaged. I loved the reaction and look on our faces and came up with an idea. So not only did I tag her in the picture I made the caption " Will you be my maid of honor? Yes, Cassie this IS how I am asking you! I hope you will!" ( so there goes that book sitting next to me all filled out - right out the window lol) My phone started ringing right away and of course she said yes! I did end up giving her the book in the future btw... lol
so next up was Amie - I did it right! I handed her, her book upside down and smiled.. She turned it over and started hugging me.. I had to tell her to open the book to see I had written her a story ending in asking her to be my bridesmaid lol
So my cousin Taylor .. we have been close our whole lives.. She is the little sister I never had. I asked her if she remembered how when she was little she used to ask if she could make my wedding cake in her easy bake oven.. she of course laughed.. I told her she still could if she wanted to but Id rather she stand next to me as a bridesmaid. She of course Said yes.
Jamie.. I didnt get the chance to be crafty lol as soon as i saw her I strait out asked lol
Kelly. Kelly is my brothers wife. I asked her through the book aswell . . I think she liked it :)
Jessica. She is Corys Only Sister I asked her over the telephone and she was happy to be part of our day..
Dawn. . Not sure about Dawn Yet as Im asking her at Our Engagement party this weekend :P
Im really happy to have both my sister in laws stand with me for my day as Ive Always wanted a sister and am happy to have 2 sisters stand for me on my wedding day. As well as the friends that throughout my life have become sisters. Im one lucky lady.
As for the guys .. I dont really know how that went down.. Im sure he strait out asked them LOL Their names are Jamie, Mike, Jeremy, Chuck ( His Brother ) Jason ( My brother ) and Glen ( my Uncle ) He still hasnt asked anyone to be his best man... he says he doesnt need one... were working on that! Hopefully he will ask one of two choices at our engagement party this weekend as things are ALOT easier to plan with a best man! LOL

The Engagement
So this is my first attempt EVER at blogging ANYTHING - So please be patient with me. Im not sure what im doing or where I am supose to start! Sounds like the beginning to a regular day with me (lol) *Grabs Cappichino...*
So I guess I should start at the beginning. Which could be alot of different things but I guess it is best to make it the day Cory proposed to me. My Engagement Day:
It was our son Lucas's Second birthday party. All our friends and family were there. Right after Lucas's last present was opened Cory called everyones attention. He said thanks for joing us we have one last present to open and Im sure glad you are all here for it. At this point I was like WHAT?! We JUST opened the last present what is he talking about?!? So As I turned to ask if he was on glue ( to which now I regret thinking lol ) I turned to find him down on one knee. I didnt know what to say - Littlerly! I just stood there for what I thought was a few seconds turned out to be about five minutes. The Ring was BEAUTIFUL! All I could do was stare at it. And then somewhere in my head I hear my dad say " You're supose to say Yes, Jen!" That snapped me out of it. YES YESS!! YESSSS! So from there all I remember was shaking. Yes, Shaking. Violently actually LOL well not violently but I definatly had uncontrolable hand shakes.. Can a seisure effect just your hand? ... So Come this point Im in heaven. My Soulmate asked me to be his wife. And everyone was there for it. I could not ask for more!
The fact that afterward I was told how he had previously asked my dad for my hand and had a long conversation with my dad really made me happy especially that he asked my fathers permission which I'm sure make my fathers day! I should have known my father was in on it when he got up and took the engagement photos as it was happening ! LOL
I love the fact that my engagement ring was custom made just for me! It was made to order and has never been on anyone elses finger! I love how special that makes it! :) .. So thats about it for the engagement.. thanks for not reading ;)
